Not a bad choice for a little bit of playing on the porch or something to start out on.I am new to Donner products - have purchased two guitars and 5 Pickups. I have been surprised (elated) at the cost-value and I'm 70 and have been buying "stuff" for over 50 years. It’s actually not a bad little guitar but it needs a few things. The frets need to be sanded down on the sides. The paint on the front could have been done with better care to detail. But for a kids starter guitar it’s great. It also looks great. This is really great small size and beautiful guitar what I want! The Guitar works and plays sounds but is not made to last by any means.Mine was de-laminating as I was playing it.Thus giving this to a beginner, may have them giving up on music.I expect more for this price tag on a small package. Many larger guitars come in around the same price point with more to offer.#FREEDOMOFSPEECHI am not musically inclined at all though I would like to learn to play the guitar. This guitar is more for my kids to learn to play. It is a good size for kids yet still not too small for an adult. The guitar comes in a very nice grey gig bag that is thick, and there is a velcro strap on the inside to secure the guitar. The gig bag can be carried as a backpack or via a handle on the side. It also has rubber feet for resting on the floor. The guitar fits nicely in the gig bag, and is well packaged and protected. The guitar comes with a nice set of accessories that would be useful for a beginner including a tuner, extra strings and an adjustable guitar strap. There is also an instruction manual that goes over some basic functions. Though there are many resources on the internet nowadays, it is still nice to have. The guitar is lightweight and the size of it makes it easy and enjoyable to hold. The quality of the guitar is good with no noticeable defects. The strings on the guitar are made of steel, but still comfortable to strum. I find the sound is pleasant and it can produce a decently loud without too much effort.Overall, this is a nice guitar bundle that includes a great gig bag and plethora of useful accessories. A good size for kids and adults alike, I would recommend it.I have to admit that I'm not terribly knowledgeable about guitars, although I do have experience with other string instruments. To me, this is a decent quality novice mini guitar with good sound but a little lacking in warmth and depth. That's not to say that the sound isn't pleasing, because it is, it just feels like it is lacking a little bit of oomph.I have a few other Donner instruments, and overall I've been happy with their quality. Our little uke is about three years old now and has been used at home and at school and has held up well. This parlour guitar looks and feels like it has the same build quality, so I expect it will last, with some care and caution, for a long while. The set includes the guitar (pre-strung), case, strap, and various accessories like a capo, pick, clip-on tuner, and spare set of strings. We did find that the guitar went out of tune a bit quickly at first, but now that the strings have settled down it holds tuning well.As a smaller woman, I'm really looking forward to learning to play this parlour guitar. I like the smaller size, and the sound quality is good for a beginner instrument. This review is for the Donner Parlor Guitar 1/4 Size Acoustic Guitar Travel Guitar Bundle with Gig Bag,Spruce Mahogany Body DAL-110D GreenDonner Parlor Guitar 1/4 Size Acoustic Guitar Travel Guitar Bundle with Gig Bag,Spruce Mahogany Body DAL-110D Green.Things I like about this guitar: • Small, easier to fit around the house and to hold • Comes with many items to help start playing the guitar • Comes with a tuner instrument (no battery included) • Comes with a common chord summary for beginners • Comes with replacement steel guitar strings • Comes with a guitar strap • Comes with cloth to clean the guitar • Has an adjustable guitar neck which can be adjusted to feel less finger pain • Resin fingerboard sign lights up after shining a flashlight on it • Beautiful and polished looking • Amazing sound quality • The 1/4 Size is suitable for teenagersThings I don't like about this guitar: • Have to retune it every time I want to play it again • Hard to tune for the first time, I had to twist the strings a lot and was afraid of them breaking • The truss rod is a bit rustedOverall, this is a great guitar. The brand Donner also has free guitar lessons on its website and app. This Donner Parlor guitar looks great and the accessories it comes with are everything a guitar player should need. However, I found that the included tuner didn’t work very well as it was not accurate. I decided to use an online tuner instead and it worked much better. The guitar was very difficult to tune as well because almost as soon as a string would get tuned it would quickly go out of tune. This often occurs because the strings need to be stretched properly at the time they are being stringed to the instrument, I assume this wasn’t done properly at the factory. The sound from the guitar was quite thin and may have something to do with the quality of the strings (or lack thereof) as well. I am impressed with the build quality of the guitar itself as I didn’t notice any imperfections and everything is lined up very nicely. The included gig bag is also a quality item. It will be interesting to try this guitar out with higher quality strings to see if the sound quality gets a boost or not. This might be a good purchase as an introduction for a child to see if there is enough interest in guitar, but I can’t really recommend it for someone who is expecting good quality sound to come from it.
