This fin is too stiff to provide propulsion. I got it to fit in my suitcase because my dive fins are so long. It was like having some plywood duck taped to my foot. I am a triathlete and strong swimmer with 20 years diving experience. In a current I could not keep up with a inexperienced grandma wearing snorkeling fins. Much smaller fins than I had on.I can note recommend these for diving, and there are better choices for snorkeling.
